About the Training
The final session of this two half day workshop series, we will give you the skills to delegate and brief colleagues with confidence and strengthen relationships by communicating effectively with Senior colleagues.
During this final workshop we will be looking at the following in detail:
Module 3: Delegating & Briefing
Deliver excellent briefings, delegating effectively to all levels
Strike the perfect balance between ‘remote’ and ‘approachable’ – managerial, not matey
Appreciate how to brief colleagues according to their competence and maturity
Master the art of open questions
Check for understanding, provide space for enquiry and recognise incongruous nonverbal signals
Module 4: Managing Up
Manage up to more senior colleagues, strengthening relationships and communicating effectively
Understand how to build trust
Get what you need to deliver an excellent job
Appreciate their personalities, priorities and perspectives
Pre-Work
In preparation for this training, please send a brief example of a performance related issue one of your team members is currently facing to Gemma by Friday 7th November 2025. (Please also bring a copy with you to the session).

About Isobel
Isobel is an expert trainer, executive coach and senior communications professional. She has been delivering bespoke workshops to marketing agencies, in-house teams and individuals for a number of years. Her talent is in tailoring training sessions to clients' specific objectives, and her style is known for being energetic and engaging.

She is licensed in Insights Discovery and has the privilege of being an accredited trainer for the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, where she runs training on a range of topics.
Before becoming a trainer, Isobel worked in the marketing industry for over 15 years, working both agency-side and as Head of Communications for Williams F1. As such, she brings deep understanding of communication, audience engagement, and influence and persuasion to all of her workshops.
